Hope for Life Association Executive Director Attends DRF Rwanda Grantee Convening at Kigali Convention Center

The Executive Director of Hope for Life Association participated in the 2025 DRF Rwanda Grantee Convening, held from February 3rd to 5th, 2025, at the Kigali Convention Center. The convening brought together grantees, development partners, disability rights organizations, and government representatives to foster collaboration, share best practices, and discuss strategies for advancing disability inclusion in Rwanda.\r\nThe three-day event focused on strengthening movement-building, sharing advocacy strategies, and engaging with donors and policymakers. Key discussions covered disability mainstreaming in education, health, policy, accessibility, climate change adaptation, and social protection. Additionally, participants explored funding opportunities and Rwanda’s commitment to international disability rights frameworks such as UNCRPD, CEDAW, CESCR, CRC, and the SDGs.\r\nSpeaking on behalf of Hope for Life Association, the Executive Director emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting persons with disabilities, particularly through initiatives that promote education, economic empowerment, and policy advocacy. The event provided a valuable platform to build partnerships, enhance advocacy efforts, and contribute to the national agenda on disability rights.\r\nThe convening concluded with a call for stronger collaboration between stakeholders, ensuring that the voices of persons with disabilities are fully integrated into Rwanda’s development plans.\r\n
